Meet Teacher Makayla!

Hi! I'm Makayla, but the kids call me Miss Kayla. I’ve been working with children since 2021, when I started teaching first grade. A year later, I moved into early learning, where I gained experience with children ages 0–4. After giving birth to my first baby, I took a couple of years off from teaching. Now, two babies later, I’m back in childcare as of September 2025!

 

My heart and passion is loving children the way they need to be loved, seeing them the way they need to be seen, and allowing them to be themselves while growing and learning. Apart from being a teacher and full-time mom, I am also a writer and working on my seventh novel! When I'm not playing with kiddos or writing, I read, sew, collect all types of trinkets, and enjoy the little things in life.
